Eas Charron Falls Sutherland

pictures below text ↓

The Eas Charron Falls are accessed from the track through Glen Alladale in the Amat Forest area at the head of Strathcarron, via a small track shortly after the car park near Glencalvie Lodge, which is about 14 miles from our B&B. The falls are particularly interesting because they are formed from a narrow cleft in the rock into which the River Carron pours and are sometimes best enjoyed in dry weather when they are not so full as you can then clearly see the depth of the cleft.

There is also another fine set of falls on River Carron at East Amat.
