Strath Cuileannach

pictures below text ↓

Strath Cuileannach is one of the glens which branch off from the Amat Forest area, and starts at the village of Croick. It also forms an old through-route to Ullapool. As you head into the strath, it is dominated by the graham, Carn a Choin Deirg (702m), and has fine views looking back towards Carn Salachaidh (647m) and the corbett, Carn Chuinneag (838m). From shortly before you reach the farmhouse at Lubachoinnich there is a good track to the right from the top of which there are fine views of Ben More Coigach and Cul Mor to the west, as well as Carn a Choin Deirg and Carn Chuinneag. There is also a track over the hill above Croick to Alladale Lodge and Glen Alladale.
